An angel from heaven
called my name
said she
so sweetly
it's time
said I-
I cannot go
my time is not done
are you certain, you seek me?

The angel from heaven
insistent she was
outstretched her hand
to me
it's time
said I-
I cannot go
my family awaits for me

The angel from heaven
with a scowl on her face
splayed her wings
and said
it's time
said I-
I cannot go
for the day has just dawned for me

The angel from heaven
gathered me
into her arms
quite tenderly
it's time
said she
no words left to say
no thoughts of today
and off she went
with me.
